Prerequisites
The connection to your calendar system is realised with Enterprise Connect by our partner Cronofy. The OAuth 2.0 standard is used for authentication.
Enterprise Connect currently supports the following calendar vendors:
Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Exchange (all versions 2007 SP1 or later)
G-Suite (Google Apps for Business)
Enterprise Connect in softgarden supplements the functionality of Smart Calendar. The activation of the calendar integration is therefore required.
Microsoft Office 365 (Graph API)
No additional settings are required to use Enterprise Connect with Microsoft Office365. There is no need to create a service account.
You can find more information here: https://docs.cronofy.com/calendar-admins/enterprise-connect-office365-graph
Microsoft Exchange (Exchange Web Services)
To use Enterprise Connect with Microsoft Exchange, first create a service account with ApplicationImpersonation permission on one or more mailboxes. This requires administrator rights.
With this role, an Exchange account can access a subset of users or the entire Exchange organization. To be able to list resources, a mailbox must be assigned to the service account.
Instructions for the setup can be found here: https://docs.cronofy.com/calendar-admins/enterprise-connect-office365-exchange/configuring-application-impersonation/
The authorization can be tested using the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer.
G-Suite (Google Apps for Business)
To use Enterprise Connect with G-Suite, please install the Cronofy app for your system: https://gsuite.google.com/marketplace/app/cronofy/902414518019
Administrator rights are required for this.
For a more granular definition of user groups you can set additional restrictions: https://docs.cronofy.com/calendar-admins/enterprise-connect-gsuite/restrict-google-service-account/

Afterwards you will be forwarded to the softgarden system. The connection of your Microsoft Office 365 corporate calendar is now complete.
Further information on troubleshooting and setting up the required permissions can be found here: https://docs.cronofy.com/calendar-admins/enterprise-connect-office365-graph/

Using your enterprise calendar in softgarden
Synchronize employees
After successfully connecting your corporate calendar, you can check the synchronization status in the settings.
When connecting, all existing users in your system will be synchronized with your calendar once. This works for all those users that are part of your company-wide calendar system and exist in the Exchange or G-Suite organization.
You can check the synchronization status in the "Connected users" section. Here you can see the number of connected users.
You can also initiate a new synchronization at any time. For large systems this process may take several minutes.
For new users in your system the authorization will be done after the first login.
All users who have been successfully connected to Enterprise Calendar can immediately start using the calendar integration with Smart Calendar.
Disconnect
If you want to disconnect your corporate calendar from softgarden, please click on "Disconnect".
Please note that this will also remove the calendars of all users connected via this authentication method from softgarden. The users will have to manually reconnect their calendars to Smart Calendar.
Of course you can reconnect the corporate calendar at any time.
You can also view and revoke the connection status of your corporate calendar at any time here: https://app-de.cronofy.com/enterprise_connect/
Troubleshooting
Connection problems with your calendar system
More information on troubleshooting and setting up the required permissions for the respective calendar systems can be found here:
Microsoft Office 365: https://docs.cronofy.com/calendar-admins/enterprise-connect-office365-graph/
Microsoft Exchange: https://docs.cronofy.com/calendar-admins/enterprise-connect-office365-exchange/
To check the configuration of your Office 365 or Exchange system, please use the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer: https://docs.cronofy.com/calendar-admins/enterprise-connect-office365-exchange/testing-configuration/
Users are not linked
If a user is registered in softgarden with an email address that is not part of your Exchange or G-Suite organization, synchronization will fail. An overview of the synchronization errors can be found in the settings.
Ask the affected users to enter an email address known to your calendar system. Then you can restart the synchronization.
