Setting up Single Sign-On (SSO) with softgarden

This help article explains how to set up Single Sign-On (SSO) with softgarden and outlines the necessary steps.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Would you like to connect your softgarden system via Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML 2.0? Youโ€™ll find a detailed step-by-step guide in our PDF attachment on how to integrate with common identity providers such as Google, Microsoft Entra ID, or Microsoft ADFS.

Whatโ€™s important to know?

Currently, the initial setup to activate SSO must still be carried out by softgarden. Once the setup is complete, new users will be granted standard system permissions by default โ€“ which can be adjusted at any time.

To get started, we need the following from you:

  • Which identity provider (IdP) you would like to use

  • The metadata URL or XML file of your IdP

  • Your preferred attribute mapping (e.g. email address, first name, last name)

You can optionally download our service provider metadata in advance here: ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://idp.softgarden.io/idp/trust/metadata
